After graduating from high school in 1988, Dr. Khuong Nguyen enrolled in the University of California, San Diego. In 1993, he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went to the University of Southern California, often known as USC, for dentistry school. He received his diploma in 1997 and immediately began an extra year of advanced study in general dentistry at the University of California, Los Angeles, or UCLA.
While Dr. Khuong Nguyen did join the field after finishing this section of his study, he immediately learned that pediatric dentistry, rather than general dentistry, was his genuine interest. He did a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, a teaching affiliate of the New York Health Science Center, to assist him work in the profession he aspired.
